Customer Pricing

The Web Ninja Price Manager allows you to set-up price levels and customer specific pricing and overrides your accounting software's pricing.

There are two options for pricing in the Price Manager.

Option 1: Price Level

The first option is to set a price level which sets a price by a percentage or an additional value for all products.

First, under Product Fields, set-up a new user field and set the source to Cost Price. In the example below, I've mapped it to user 6. Note that if you're accounting software doesn't use a cost price, you won't be able to set this.


Next, In the admin area, edit the config and go to the Integration tab and then 'Ninja Price Manager'. If you know the cash sales account, enter that too.


Run a sync after you map this to bring the cost price through to this field for every product.

Next, go to Modules and select Price Manager then Price Levels. Here you can set a new price level, based on either the sell price or cost price. Note that it is important to make sure the customer types are set-up first.

If you don't have the required customer types set-up, please contact support or your Web Ninja representative.


The config is simple to follow allowing you to add or subtract a percentage of the sell or cost price and assign it to different customer types. Once configured, you can view the price book.


Important Note: This method can only set an entire price level to a customer.

Important Note 2: If you set a calculation, then need to go back and adjust it, make sure you click on 'Fill Prices' to update the Price Level Sell Price column.

The calculations for Margin and Markup are as follows:

Margin: (Default Calculation - Price Level Sell Price)/Default Calculation

Markup: (Default Calculation - Price Level Sell Price)/Price Level Sell Price"


Option 2: Special Price

This option allows you to set individual prices for individual products for individual customers.

Click on 'Modules' then select 'Price Manager' from the drop-down list, then 'Special Prices'.


Restrict to: You can set the special price to apply to all customers, a particular customer using their account number or a particular customer type.

Restrict to field 2: Set the special price to apply to all products, a category of products or an individual product using the product code.

Minimum Quantity: Applies the price based on the quantity

Start Date: Select the date the special price will apply from.

End Date: Set this a long time in the future unless it expires on a particular date

Calculation: Set the special price based on a percentage or value in relation to the current price, cost price, sell price or contract price.

Click 'Save' to complete the set-up and then go ahead and test it.

Important Note: You need to set-up one Price Level to activate the Special Price level as being a 'special price' module, it will use the standard sell price if the special price is set higher than it. To fix this, set-up a price level that is 100% or more of the standard price.
